"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. The bedding and towels were lovely and soft and smelt nice and the bed was very comfy. It was close to Hornsea and a large Tesco. I would...

"We stayed for a week in March 2025 and thought this cottage was wonderful. Tastefully furnished and very well equipped, this was a real home from home. The comprehensive welcome pack was much appreciated. We would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend to friends and family. "

"has everything you need for a short stay. Bedrooms and bathrooms are quite tiny and wardrobe space is limited. No problem if you are out and about most of the time but staying in might be a bit crammed. There is a small outdoor area to sit in - if you like talking to the neighbours as all chalets are close together."

"Property was exceptionally clean modern well equipped. Nice little touches of milk bread spread and bottles of wine for arrival.
No issues at all with the property it was lovely. The only issue was with the pub next door, which when we spoke to the host the next day he dealt with straight away.
Parking instructions weren’t communicated.
Access to property is via the pub car park."

"What an absolutely gorgeous house, the house is actually better in person than the pictures show.
Check in was simple with a handy located key box and lots of parking.
It was pretty nippy outside and the house was already heated and nice and toasty on arrival, along with the hot tub.
We were down as a party of 10 for a Hen do and the different entertaining spaces were perfect for the games and activities we had planned. Bedrooms are spacious and the beds are really comfy.

Hull Humber View Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by BW
8/10 Good
"Welcoming and friendly staff. Leafy surroundings and plenty of parking. Dogs welcome! Tasty evening meal in the pleasant lounge bar area. Excellent choices available for breakfast. Definitely value for money. Only let down by being a bit tired all round and dingey. "
"When we arrived about 5.45pm Sunday evening we could hear a lot of noise coming from the bar area . We went to our room and freshened up arriving back at the bar about 6.15pm. The bar was dominated by a group of "locals" who were worst for wear, shouting and swearing. My husband and I retreated to the terrace which was a bit cool. We asked if any managers were on duty and were told no. The staff were just youngsters and had no authority to deal with these people. We were told that the manager wouldn't subdue these people as they were regular customers. We will not be booking this hotel again. As for the room it was a deluxe room but was lacking in fundamental "
"Another Village Hotel. This time in Hull and the theme is the same. Friendly and attentive staff matched with a good facilities, well designed rooms and reasonably priced food.
Both evening and morning shift staff were friendly and helpful to ensure that there were no issues that needed addressing. The breakfast staff even provided alternative milk which was not out in the open during breakfast. Worth noting for those with dietary restrictions or allergies speaking to the staff will result in a positive experience.
Room was clean with no visible dust or cobwebs and smelt fresh on entry. The bathroom was separate from the bedroom with a shower in what I can describe as a spacious room probably bigger than most 'box rooms'. Again bathroom was clean with towels where expected and the toilet bowl clean. Big mirror and well lit.
Bed was comfortable with enough pillows for added comfort if required. Kettle and cups provided were clean. Nice choice of tea and coffee although providing decaf for both would also have been welcome. An upgrade to the Clubhouse would have included a Lor Nespresso machine to the mix. There is a full length mirror and a small closet built into the wall housing an ironing board, hairdryer and fan (for hot days?). The room had a good temperature that was not leaning towards hot or cold that I did not look around for the controls to change it."
"Breakfast choices were excellent. Parking was adjacent and plentiful. All staff we met were good.
The room (139) felt a bit weary, the beds not particularly comfortable. The shower was over a bath, ok, but the bath sides were very high for people with stiff legs. One lamp was not working, the toilet flush handle was loose on the wall.
Nothing dreadful but could be improved."
"I booked this hotel at very short notice while preparing to travel from the northeast of Scotland to visit a seriously ill family member for what was expected to be a final visit.
Unfortunately, on the morning of our planned departure for the 8-hour journey, we received the sad news that our family member had passed away, meaning the trip was no longer required.
We contacted the hotel immediately to explain the exceptional circumstances and respectfully requested a refund or goodwill consideration. Regrettably, the request was declined and the booking charge was upheld.
While I understand that hotels operate within cancellation policies, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and compassion shown given the circumstances. Based on this experience, I do not feel confident recommending this company to others."
"Upon arrival the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the hotel was clean and tidy with a nice selection of drinks a the bar. The room was extremely clean and tidy was very impressed by it although have a short stay i would have liked for there to have been a fridge.
Apart from that the room was great clean fresh bedding little sofa. A/c along with all the compliments in the room and shower.
Room cleaning was done daily and they did a lovely job too.
Breakfast had a good variety from cereal and fruit to a full English. Although the hash browns were not to my liking. Everything else was great.
Really could not have knocked my stay and would definitely recommend and return again in the future. Thanks very much for a pleasant stay. 10/10"
