"Having lived in Rothesay for a few years in the sixties I was familiar with the Glenburn but never stayed there. It is indeed a grand building with great sea views but showing its age in a few areas. It was built in the early 1800s so that's not surprising. Parking can be a bit restrictive as the property was constructed in the days of horse and carriage. Staff were courteous and the lounge area with the bar is very comfortable and spacious. I will definitely stay there again. Very reasonable rates as well. "
"Having been brought up in the area I have driven past Stonefield on numerous occasions. This year on a trip from Canada I decided to give it a try. A beautiful location easily accessible from the main road. I was impressed with the staff courtesy and helpfulness, the comfortable bar lounge and sea views. I would definitely stay there again. "

"Such a beautiful location, generous rooms with fantastic views, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Friendly, polite and each one going the extra mile. Also the breakfast is really good. It was a shame to leave. "

"Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel the hotel itself Is lovely as well as the staff what we dealt with during our stay. We would return to this hotel. "
"I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional.
The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. I had locally free dived seared scallops from the loch, I had the slow roasted goat shank with lentils - exceptional, and we shared a lemon tart with fresh berries. I loved the Kames and I seriously recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.
That is my honest feedback, Thanks, Phil."
