"Hotel tem um staff muito despreparado para o serviço que promete oferecer. Quartos espaçosos, varanda com apenas 1 cadeira para sentar e ver o mar, não pudemos usufruir como casal. Banheiro limpo, sem shampoo e sabonete, foi solicitado na recepção, após mais de 40 min de espera, pedi para a menina que fazia limpeza em outro quarto. Ela não tinha nenhum, mas me deu um copo com um pouco do sabonete líquido do quarto que estava limpando. No café da manhã as mesas disponíveis estavam sujas e precisamos pedir para alguém limpar. No checkout, a mesma falta de respeito com o hóspede. Enquanto me atendia parou para conversar com outra funcionária, depois atendeu outra hóspede e só então finalizou o meu atendimento. Não recomendo. "

"The property is a little dated..the toilet seat was broken and the toilet ran all night. No one spoke english, so it was a little challenging with the communication.. We had a balcony room on the tenth floor in the view is absolutely amazing... The food in the restaurant is mediocre at best.."

"I had an oceanfront room and this was an exceptional stay. From the check in assistance by Julia at the front desk, to Gustavo at my check out, I had an amazing stay at Grand Hyatt for 4 days and I'd definitely be back here again. I am very sensitive to noise and even though the oceanfront room is by the avenue, the soundproofing of the balcony door was so superb, once you close it, the whole noise of the outer world is away from you. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was spacious and so was the room, giving me plenty of space to move in it comfortably. The housekeeping was incredible, I am already a very tidy person but when I came back to my room, their touch made things even better than I expected. I loved the fact that the portion of the ocean this hotel sees is much more calmer than most beaches of Rio. I also stopped by Canto for lunch once and a drink when I checked out, and the server Monique was very helpful and warm. Overall, it's been a great experience for me. I was a solo, woman traveller. Would highly recommend this place to anyone interested."

"I loved the room view . The breakfast offered was fantastic as well !! As an issue to work on would be the late check out policies . It is said that you pay 50%for a late check out ( until 6pm) which I was willing to do , but even showing the fare published in the hotel site to calculate half of it , they came out with a higher fare in their system and charged me 20% more than I thought I would pay . The lady hotel manager did not have a clear explanation about it , but paying what she said was the only way to extend it . That would be the only negative point I could mention about my stay."

"This is a 3 star hotel, not the 4. Hallway cleanliness was below 4 star expectations. Our shower had black mold in the grout. Mold was also where we had to hang the towels on the hooks on the wall. Breakfast was ok, too many breads that taste the same, eggs were below average. Only fruit and yogurt saved breakfast. Pool - grout had mold, so I did not even swim. Beds we comfortable and clean sheets we changed daily. That was good. Location is good, beach is close."

"The staff were unhelpful and definitely not a place to stay if you are an english speaking tourist. At times, they will not be able to help any requests and will speak about you to eachother in front of you. If asked for help, staff will leave to “fix the issue” and disappear for 10 minutes despite telling you it’ll be a few minutes. Upon retuning, they’ll greet coworkers, go behind the counter and “work” on stuff until approached again regarding request. Definitely needs better staff but otherwise, good and growing location, close enough to attractions. Generic requests are well received and most times, staff was great and helpful, just something to be weary about for anyone coming in with poor portuguese."
