"The "cabins" are very crude. They don't have AC and are very dated. Having said that, it cooled off nicely in the cabin. There are gaps below door and around windows.
If you are prepared for crude then it will be a good stay. You are right by the ocean and very quiet. There are bikes, kayaks and standing boards available for use. The meals were very good too.
It was a good experience. Just don't expect fancy at all. "
"If you are looking for the ultimate secluded beach get away totally away from everything no cars roads or bikes..this is it. GILLIGANS ISLAND without the Skipper and Mary Ann! Nothing but untouched coast line and Palm trees. With that being Aotera Guest House offers very basic bungalows right on the stand steps away from the aqua blue sea. It is however no frills and very basic . No hot water or AC. But sometimes you have to give up the small luxuries in life if you cant afford the Conrad or Sofital and still seek absolute paradise! Far from it all the Captain will pick you up at the Marina and it is a 20 min boat ride to the Guest house.
The food is ok to decent- Beer is available
Beware if you walk down the beach. Along the way the only other property has doberman pincher dogs that have attacked toursists so be aware."
"We were so fortunate to spend our honeymoon at Ninamu — it truly felt like paradise. With only 10 bungalows on the entire island, the resort feels like you have rented a private island!
Chris, the owner, is amazing. He personally purchased the island and built the resort by hand. His passion is visible everywhere, from the beautifully designed spaces to the coral-covered walls that add unique character.
Heava, our waitress and bartender, made our stay extra special with her kindness and welcoming spirit. Chef cooked us some of the most incredible meals — we ate fresh-caught fish twice a day and have never felt better while traveling!
The lagoon surrounding the island is stunning—crystal clear and with vibrant fish and blacktip reef sharks. Snorkeling here felt like exploring a private aquarium!"
