"Very clean and we own a cleaning company. Couldn't even find spots in the carpeting in hallways. We stayed in Room 405 with 2 dogs. The hotel only let dogs in certain rooms which often can mean other dogs have had accidents or marked and our dogs ALWAYS find those spots & butu their noses for LONG periods of time. If u have a dog u probably know what I mean. Not the case in 405. Firm mattress if you have a bad back. Sides of it weren't "broken down" from people sitting. Only 2 areas for improvement would be a heated pool. It probably was heated but in an air conditioned indoor room like that, it needs to be warmer and I'm very hot blooded and rarely need a warm pool. Second area is please stop charging for breakfast at all HGI. You could have both (free items on a counter AND cook to order for a price in the restaurant/bar area). We knew this before staying, but really wish we would have tried Hampton Inn directly on the Bay for that reason alone. Great job maintenance and cleaning peeps. Every one of you we saw and chatted with were VERY friendly AND helpful. Yes, we tipped. Travelers, please tip your service people when they've done an amazing job."
