Regal Motel

8/10 Good
"I will say this was an interesting experience indeed. Promoted as a "workers paradise". Where you would intuitively enter to check in is actually their 241 Pizza operation (no hate for pizza here!) so you go to the door to the right that enters into a laundry room of sorts with a folding table. Apparently there was some issue with the TV and the friendly person assisting me was required to escort me to the room where I watched him fiddle with the TV and wires until the cable was on. ( The TV turned off on its own accord sometime in the night.) For the room itself, its a standard strip motel with parking in the front. The upside is that the sheets, most of the towels and the bathroom in general were fairly clean. The fridge operated well and the room doesn't smell bad. It's clear this motel as a building has had some history, dated interior, scuffs and several screw holes along the door frame likely indicating the door had been kicked in a few times. The security latch was barely hung on but there's a dead bolt so. The real down side was that the walls, bench, other furniture did not appear to have been wiped/sanitized (visible smears) since the mid-2000's and this was still a $100/night stay through Expedia. I did sleep ok and it was a roof but in retrospect I'd spend another $100+ for the peace of mind."
