"I just had one of the best hotel stays ever at The Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park — highly recommend!
The location is perfect: it’s a short, pleasant walk to the beach. We reached the boardwalk in under 5 minutes, making sunrise and sunset strolls super convenient with no parking hassles.
The heated pool was a highlight. Warm, clean, and relaxing even on cooler evenings, with a fun social vibe and comfortable loungers. One of the best hotel pools on the Jersey Shore.
Inside, the in-house coffee shop was excellent for morning coffee and fresh pastries. Evenings at the hotel bar offered great cocktails, local beers, and a lively but comfortable atmosphere — we actually wanted to stay in!
The hotel is also perfectly located near great spots like Kim Marie’s Bar (fun drinks and locals) and The Iron Whale (amazing seafood and views). Everything is within easy walking distance.
Rooms are stylish and comfortable, the property has that cool boutique energy, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
If you’re visiting Asbury Park, book The Asbury Hotel. Great location, excellent amenities, and the ideal home base. We’ll definitely be back!"
"Air conditioner was busted asked the front desk to fix it when I checked in it was never taken care of the pool was closed bugs in the kitchen area couldn't even stay going to need a refund wouldn't recommend for future trips"
"Crazy expensive for lack of amenities. Not sure why there was a resort fee when the pool was not even on property… it’s at their “sister property” 10 minutes down the boardwalk & in early May, when I stayed, it was too cold to use the pool anyway. The breakfast was 10 pastries for the entire hotel: 3 muffins, 3 croissants, 4 tiny strudels… that was the entire selection of “breakfast”, along with coffee, tea, or juice. The noise from the street was extremely loud all night, not that the staff could help that, but it was not a relaxing sleep. Room was clean, but the view was of a parking garage. Overall, not worth what I paid."
