"everything was perfect; however I wish it were possible to watch tv in bed. I understand why the room is set up the way it is, but putting the tv on a swing arm would make it even better."
"The staff were incredibly helpful. One of them, in Picton before we got on the ferry, told us how to see the bioluminescence, which was fantastic. The young man who took us around to feed the animals and the marine biologist who told us about the marine life on the viewing platform were incredibly knowledgable. The room was pretty and we had a good view if we sat outside. We also loved the hammocks and the glow worms."
"The staff were so lovely accomodating and wonderful, unfortunately I arrived with a sore back so couldn’t do the walk and they were very caring with heat pack and healing balm upgraded our room, will be coming back. The place is paradise as well had a lovely spa with a view and beautiful meal at the restaurant. Highly recommend one of the best places I’ve been in the world and I have travelled a lot! "
"I had an amazing stay here during my five-week Oceania trip. My first night was unexpected—I needed an ambulance to the local hospital after a fall on the ferry—but the staff at Bay Vista were incredibly attentive throughout the whole ordeal. They checked on me during the ambulance visit and followed up the next day to make sure I was doing okay (four sutures along my hairline).
A special shout-out to Maddie, who was exceptionally caring and checked on me several times. The location is absolutely beautiful, and it has definitely set the bar high for future stays along the southern New Zealand coast.
Thank you to the entire team for your kindness and support during a very stressful moment. You all truly rock!"
"Tim and Heather were wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The room we had was spacious and luxurious. It had everything you could need as well as access to a pool table and movie room. Lots of books to read and all the amenities were modern and of good quality. View out the front window was looking over the marina. Would recommend it to anyone."
"Greeted by Bill and given the tour of our room and the lounge area we could access exclusively. Guided to a range of dining options in Picton, which was appreciated.
The room was spacious, with a view over their abundant garden. Separate kitchenette area off the bedroom. Goodies included delicious grapes, plunger coffee and a good selection of teas. Lots of interesting little items throughout the room. Super comfortable bed, good quality linen. Large bathroom space. We were very tired after a long day of driving so retired early."
