"Exceptional. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Country Villa Estate. Danny and Mabel were fabulous hosts from the moment we arrived. We were met with a warm welcome before being shown to our very comfortable room which was beautifully decorated and with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was superb with different options each day. Mabel is a true artist with her delicious breakfast offerings. Beautiful gardens, comfortable spaces to relax, a truly unique experience."

"The place wasnt refreshed for our stay. Dust inside all the cups and on the tables etc. A dead roch sitting in the container that held the tea n sugar. Need to supply 2 more towels as there was 2 people staying 2 nights and we only had 2 towels. Lawns were unkept. Theres a tin shed ryt out where the bed is. It was scratching n banging up on the wall and keeps you from falling into deep sleep. The blue pillow cases had dribble stains on the fabric. If these details where more tended to it would have a more clean invitation right from parking your vehicle to walking into the property. We would have no complaints. The converted garage to sleepout we booked was an ok stay. "

"We loved our stay at Hideaway. We stayed in the deluxe family room with spa bath, which was modern, clean and perfect stay for a family with young kids. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Just outside the sliding door was the playground and some friendly alpacas and a sheep. We didn't get much of a chance to try the playground due to the weather, but it looked great. We were given some food for the animals at check in and the kids absolutely loved being able to hand feed the animals every day. It is a short distance away from the town and the potential smells associated with Rotorua, although I would only stay here if you have a car. You do need to drive into town for shops and restaurants as there are no food options on site or in the immediate area. It is reasonably close to the road, but from our room we didn't really notice traffic noise. There was a laundry on site which was helpful. It would be great if the laundry hours were longer so that you didn't have to be at the hotel doing laundry during the day when you wanted to be out seeing things. There was building work while we were staying, however we didn't find it noisy or disruptive. We would 100% stay here again and definitely recommend it to anyone with kids. "

"Hot Springs were amazing, clean and well kept. Had such an amazing time. We stayed 2 nights which was perfect length of stay (we do not play golf). Dinner menu was good, however we only ate there once due to limited options."
