Fernie Stanford Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Front staff was so friendly when we checked in. The room was clean and updated. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. The area that we felt could use some work is the breakfast. It was all I could do not to organize the items so the flow of getting your breakfast was smoother and more efficient. Placement of the plates and cutlery were in the middle of the pancake and waffle station, so if you just wanted to get a plate and cutlery, you had to get through a group of people who were waiting for the pancakes or waffles. After getting waffles or pancakes you had to go back in between the stations and the line up or people to get the syrup and butter. Seeing this, I put syrup in a cup as I was waiting in line for the waffle machine, so when I was done getting my waffle I didn't have to back track through the people to go back and get it. The hot food (eggs, hash browns and sausage): ok...the hashbrowns did not taste good - no one at our table ate them. Lots of potential in the breakfast...missed the mark a bit though. We really loved our stay though, beautiful hotel and view out the windows was amazing. Would definitely stay there again!!"

"This boutique hotel was spectacular!! The staff were amazing and we had the most beautiful bed and linens."
Park Place Lodge

"This was the best hotel of all 6 hotels we’ve used this trip. Very comfortable and roomy room, and lovely interior atrium area with swimming pool and jucuzzi, lots of sitting areas, and space. I almost used the pool but the people getting out of it said it was too cold, hence my score of 4 for amenities. Our dog was treated to cookies which he loved. Breakfast was excellent. The restaurant is closed on Mondays but we had a great Italian meal in town."
St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino

"If ypu have to go to Cranbrook. This is the best place to stay. Even if you dont have to go, it is still good for a quiet retreat. Guests should explore the history of residential 'schooling' and aborigginal and colonial history , the cutural and actual genocide , while there. There are plenty of activities including swimming and pickleball as well as golf. The ambience is great"

"I was expecting an absolute dump for the price. It was definitely an older property but its very well maintained. Super clean. The mattress wasn't top quality and only two small pillows. But it was clean and just fine for a nights stay. I'd def stay there again."
Best Western Plus Fernie Mountain Lodge

"Stayed with my 2 cats and the staff were great about it - there was a pet bowl and some treats ready for us when we got in the room which was very cute! Room was very clean and bed was comfy. Somewhat easy to hear others in the hallway/other rooms throughout the night, but that’s pretty common in hotels. Breakfast buffet was great with lots of options too!"
