Home from home

We had a lovely stay at Abberley House. Room and ensuite were spotless, breakfast was wonderful. Jackie the owner, works tirelessly to make your stay good, and can t do enough for you. would definitely go again.

I mostly loved the cleanliness of Abberley House and the gorgeous breakfast that was served immediately. Nothing was too much trouble for Jackie. Jackie cares and really wants her guests to have a good holiday, and we felt so comfortable at all times. We were pondering whether to go away in these uncertain times and came up trumps when we found Abberley House. Whenever in Torquay area this pristine guest house will be our first option, and Babbacombe Downs is so pretty with plenty of places to eat. Catching buses to Torquay and surrounding areas wasn't a problem for my husband and myself ( he in his 80's and my self in my 70's) In our opinion an excellent guest house.

Jacky was very helpful and friendly , her place is extremely clean , and in a nice area close to Babbercome front and 20 min walk to Torquay, her breakfast is hearty , and not to be missed , nothing is to much trouble , would definitely stay again when visiting this part of the country

Lovely stay at a lovely place

Lovely guest house located in a good place lots of on street parking outside free of charge. Jackie runs a well organised ship, very helpful friendly and accommodating, nice breakfast, no issues at all, great stay, would definitely come back to the Abberley guest house

Jackie is an impeccable host who could not have done any more to make our visit any better. Nothing is too much trouble for her. Room was very clean and comfortable and the choice and quality for breakfast was excellent

Wonderful stay here. Everything so clean and organised. Felt very safe with all the covid rules in place. Jackie couldn’t be more accommodating. Perfect size breakfast and cooked to perfection. Very reasonable price to stay for 3 nights. Great location for Torquay and all it has to offer. Would highly recommend.

We had an amazingly pleasant time with Jacky our host who offered us a myriad of information regarding the best spots to visit, where to eat. Her service at Abberley House was second to none - as regards: Linnen changes, room cleaniness, meals and the overall levels of cleanliness adhered to at her guest House. We'd very happily return to stay with Jacky...!!!

Little gem

Extremely covid safe, Jackie was the perfect landlady going above and beyond to help in any way she could, arrived with a bad back and after struggling with the bed in the room we had booked, Jackie kindly offered us another room with firmer beds. Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and set you up for the day. Made me a new face mask as I struggle with normal ones due to wearing hearing aids too. Will definitely be going back next year.

Superb guest house in a lovely area. Five minute walk to seafront and buses. The landlady is friendly and consiencious. The place is immaculately clean..The rooms are lovely, bed comfy, ensuite smashing. Breakfast is spot on.

Jackie was fantastic from the get go. She thoroughly informed us regarding the measures in place and of course details regarding the venue. Also whenever my sister and I required something she was happy to help! Highly recommend staying here 😊

A little gem

Without doubt one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. Friendly and informative host (Jackie), who had implemented measures to ensure that everyone is kept safe from the virus in these difficult times.Spotlessly clean and a breakfast made to order from quality ingredients. We would definitely tay here again.

Helpful and pleasant landlady. Nothing was too much trouble for Jackie. The full English Breakfast was sumptuous. Would stay there again next time I am in Torquay. A ten minute walk takes you down to the Babbacombe sea front, with pubs and restaurants on the way.

Excellent stay.

Great place to stay, 10 minutes walk from anything you needs, good pubs, restaurants and beach fronts. Hotel was very clean and great pillows. So welcoming owners and great customer service.

Recent stay

I cannot praise Abberley house enough,from the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and greeted with a nice cup of tea. Jackie is great host and gave us information on places to visit, local buses and the easier route into town. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the full english breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. Jackie is very knowledgeable and spends time talking to all her guests making it feel like home from home,she even took us the railway station on the day we checked out on a miserable rainy morning. Nothing is to much trouble and she is doing all this single handed, well done Jackie. I would thoroughly recommend Abberley house as a great place to stay and look forward to returning soon

A great place to stay

Lovely stay in relaxed and friendly guest house where nothing was too much trouble and we felt valued and well looked-after. Very clean rooms and comfortable bed. Great breakfast - lots of variety and cooked breakfast made to order and very tasty. Location great for all the local beaches - easy walk into Babbacombe and Torquay. Would definitely return.

A-lluber-ley stay!!

Very friendly and welcoming. Landlady provided us with a cup of tea as soon as we arrived. Comfortable room, with very well appointed en-suite shower. Superb breakfast the following morning. Plenty of information about local things do do, and well placed for a trip to the Babbacombe Theatre (10 min walk)
