enjoyed our stay ,Martyn and Elaine made us welcome ,offering tea , coffee and home made cake on arrival.Room was clean ,bed was comfortable ,shower red hot. Great choice for breakfast and plenty of it . they are coping really well with the covid stuff hope to come back soon

Great customer service and very friendly hosts

On arrival at the hotel I was greeted by the lovely hosts and I was offered homemade cake and coffee. I was then given a map of the local area and guided through place's of interest. Room was outstanding and was very clean and lot's of space,all room's are named after place's and I had Morocco which had a lovely four poster bed. Breakfast was very tasty and lot's of choice and always hot and very quick service to your table. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone thinking of staying in Torquay.

Gorgeous guest house, lovely owners and hosts

My partner and I stayed for just one night on route to Brixham the following day. We chose the Hillcroft because of the interesting decor in the photos and reasonable price for the accommodation and we weren't disappointed. The Hillcroft is one of the most beautifully decorated and quirky places we've ever stayed in and the owners, Martyn and Elaine, were very welcoming, friendly and informative about the local area, recommending places to eat and drink. The room we were given was lovely with amazing views over the buildings and houses to the sea. The shower was very good, water nice and hot as was the heating in the room. We slept reasonably well, it was certainly extremely quiet. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and everything appeared to be locally sourced. Nothing was too much trouble at the Hillcroft and all the little touches and attention to detail made it a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay there again.

Martin and Elaine were lovely hosts. Welcomed with fresh tea and coffee and home made cake on arrival. Room had everything you needed and was clean. Breakfast had the best fruit salad we have ever had and the full English was piping hot quality ingredients (martin’s toast was pretty good too😂). Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone!

We just returned from our third stay at the Hillcroft. We are working our way through the themed rooms which are all beautiful. The welcome is always warm, the rooms are always clean and the hotel is full of fascinating items to find your way round. We would not hesitate to book again.

A wonderful eclectic and luxurious stay!

Incredible unique little place with wonderful friendly hosts. We stayed in the India suite and it was comfortable, spotless and huge. We will definitely be back!

Great getaway.

Really enjoyed the room and the setup. Nice and clean and organised. The food was great with a good choice of options for breakfast. Good advice and greetings from the owners without going over the top.
