The venue is historic and beautiful. The white hart inn provides a wonderful dining experience. Lots to do and lively grounds to explore. A super wedding venue if we were to get married again!

We had a great 2 night stay in a second floor room which had an amazing A-shaped beam in the middle of it, antique furniture and an arts & crafts fireplace - quirky and characterful. The gardens provided a peaceful walk and the bar - The White Hart - was good for a beer, we hadn't booked a table so didn't eat there.

A memorable stay

This was a memorable pre-Christmas stay. The place has so much character and history. I was given a room overlooking the courtyard, which in the evenings was decked with lights, snow scenes projected on the buildings opposite, and a carol service in the grand hall – beautiful!

Lovely historic building with beautiful gardens in a quiet country setting. Needed better signage to hotel check in. Had to stop a local and ask!

Very good stay at Dartington Hall

The facilities were fantastic, bedroom ideal (and a very comfy bed). The only thing I wasn't happy about was that the restaurant served me a drink in a very dirty glass, but I felt this was resolved at the time.

Stunning building, room was great and comfortable, I didn't have a bathroom in my room but the one I used was for my bedroom and another one exclusively, which was really convenient. It was quiet, the bed was comfy, there is a couple of dinning options which are great. A plus for the cinema as well. I would have stay longer.

Dartington hall

Very good stay, breakfast was good, although the toaster the bread came out as warm bread and if put through again was burnt. The grounds were stunning. The room was petite but clean and adequate. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend. The staff were also very polite and helpful.

Unique surroundings and blissful peace abound for this hotel. The room was cosy in temperature and atmosphere and the breakfast was excellent with lots of local produce. The only downside was the lack of chairs to sit at a desk when we needed to be on a Zoom call, but this is not somewhere marketing itself for business people, so for me, this slight disadvantage is totally outweighed by the positives.

It's a lovely location and a lovely historic building. The dining option closed 3 hours before it was due to as it didn't have any bookings. The nearest pub is a 30 minute walk away - fine if you have a car.... No front of house service after 16.00. Breakfast a bit greasy spoony. No thermostatic control on the room radiators - so would need to sleep with ground floor windows open. Still waiting to hear from customer services about the above and more niggly problems.

Good couple of days

Hotel and grounds lovely. Rooms could do with modernising though. Beds really comfortable, pillows not great. Nowhere to hang wet towels to dry. Shower really nice and powerful. Good buffet breakfast . Had the bbq one evening, it was ok. Very small portions so wouldn't fill you up if you were really hungry and wouldnt really call it bbq food. Drinks served nicely and a good choice.
