"Breakfast & dinner menus were not stocked up from start - had to wait 20 mins++ before the full menu was put on the bar for both breakfast & dinner By that time had finished before new options were placed - not ideal Variety not so great but quality was good Had a room on the 1st floor with an awful view of walls with security speaking loudly all night disrupting sleep Doors banging in the evening Was told the room we booked was not a room with a sea view but was not told I’ll be looking at a wall & was not offered a sea view room either Swimming pool across the road in their new building they are constructing - you can’t expect people to go in their swimming outfits like that - not practical The pool itself was nice but couldn’t use it as did not feel comfortable going out in swim clothes Advertised as access to beach - not sure what beach they are talking about as we didn’t see one Would recommend to anyone never to go by the pictures on their sites as are so misleading & will ruin your experience Lesson learnt for next time "

"This is a no frills hotel - good for a quick overnight stay. On a busy street and no ocean view. But it worked for us because we walked early morning for the sunrise views - it's another story that there was no sunrise view because of cloud conditions. "

"Chakra cottage had aesthetic interiors and very spacious even for a couple with small kids. Seeing sunrise in the lake from the portico was wonderful. Staff were really courteous and friendly. Spa was great too. Overall it was a lovely peaceful experience just an hour drive from Thiruvananthapuram. "
