"Amazing place to stay in Kinosaki Onsen town! My girlfriend and I got the “kasuga” room on the second floor, which has a view of the Main Street. Room is just the right size, and they provided everything we needed for the stay in the room - from tea to water to toiletries to a Dyson hair dryer. Yukatas were also provided for us to use the in-house onsen, as well as for going to the other 7 onsens in town.
The dinner included a buffet where we chose the different seafoods for them to steam for us - and every person gets a guaranteed half crab! The crab was so delicious. As they were steaming our food we were served sashimi, and after we finished the steamed portion we were served Tajima beef, which was also really delicious! Both the Tajima beef and crabs are local specialties so I’m really happy they included them in the food program.
There is also a matcha experience and a lounge open all day serving snacks and drinks (changes based on time of day). The staff is also really attentive and helpful - thank you for an amazing stay in Kinosaki Onsen!"
"Wonderful stay! Our friends were late in arriving and they held dinner for them. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. The staff speaks limited English but worked hard to make everything perfect for our stay. I would recommend staying 2 nights to really experience Kinosake Onsen."
"The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating they picked us up from the train station. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful and one of a kind stay must recommend for anyone going to this town. "
"Wonderful hotel. Each room had the perfect amount of amenities and space. Really appreciated the free drink on arrival, and the breakfast was excellent."
"From the moment we arrived at Hotel Tenbouen, we were swept into a world of charm, warmth, and unmatched hospitality. Nestled in a serene setting, the hotel exudes a quiet elegance that immediately made us feel at ease. Every corner seemed thoughtfully designed, and the atmosphere was nothing short of magical.
The staff were beyond accommodating; gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. Each interaction felt personal and sincere, and their dedication to making our stay memorable was evident in every detail. We’ve traveled extensively throughout Japan last week and we can confidently say this was the most exceptional team we’ve encountered.
The culinary experience was a highlight. Both breakfast and dinner were beautifully curated, with each dish a delightful journey for our tastebuds. The flavors were exquisite, the presentation artful, and the care that went into each meal was palpable. It felt like dining in a dream.
Our private onsen reservation was handled with such precision and care that we truly felt like royalty. The tranquil setting, the seamless coordination, and the attention to detail made it an unforgettable experience.
To all the staff at Hotel Tembouen—thank you. You turned our stay into something truly magical. My wife and I are already looking forward to returning and reliving the enchantment all over again."
