"This is the best hotel in Trincomalee. The staff are the loveliest, kindest staff, and they made our time there feel like home. The food is a choice of traditional Sri Lankan food as well as European/US, but they even made us egg hoppers on request.... Its that we're not on the menu. So I cannot praise them highly enough. We will return here. "

The beach area is accessed via a short alleyway & if you ask at reception, they will put an umbrella up by the sun loungers for you. "The location is beautiful with its own beach where you can relax. The breakfast is really tasty and fresh. Our room was ok but you could hear the surroundings a lot. Please note that Hotels.com description is a bit misleading as there is no Wifi in the room (weak at the reception) and no daily housekeeping. If you really just want to relax it's the right place to go. The owner is helpful and kind. The cute dogs are a big bonus!"

"Excellent central location for exploring central Trincolomee. Well-managed and friendly, accommodating staff. Make sure to request a room with hot water and AC as not all rooms are the same. Of note, the hotel is currently in the process of adding another floor. Once completed, there will be some nice city views from the top floor rooms."

"Stayed here for 2 nights with family plus our private driver as part of a whistle-stop tour of Sri Lanka. Our first impressions were quite bad. Hotels in Sri Lanka routinely provide/arrange accommodation for drivers (either for a price or sometimes for free). Jacob made it seem like drivers are not worthy of staying in the vicinity of guests as they "disturb the look of the hotel and the other guests". In fact, as we were unloading bags, he straight up asked our driver where he would be staying...

"L'hotel est bien situé, à 2 pas des restaurants et de la plage et la petite terrasse est agréable. Cependant il y avait une très forte odeur d'égouts dans notre chambre et l'hotelier nous a demandé de payer l'équivalent de 12 € supplémentaire par nuit pour avoir la clim dans la chambre ! Le Wifi ne marche quasiment pas. En bref je pense que vous pouvez trouver beaucoup mieux à Upuveli."

"How can i give my ideas even they have not reserve a room for me. But i have paid fully through my credit card to Expdia for Blue Ocen Hotel Tirncomalee. Pls don't do like this to others. Even they could have informed if they have cancelled my room reservation. I will take necessary action regarding this matter"
