"A well converted / preserved townhouse in Lisieux. The bonus for us was secure parking. Restaurant and bar closed on Monday (our visit) but the nearby Brit Hotel was a good alternative. Walk across a local manicured park or down a side street to the cathedral but I noticed all the tourist info. for Lisieux mentioned going elsewhere after seeing the cathedral. Relatively friendly town and a really nice quiet place to stay for the traveller. "

"Conveniently located, close to the train station but we had a car. Secured parking area for the hotel which was nice. Lots of places to eat close by. Area is pretty along the river front. The staff were friendly and the suite spacious with a small kitchenette. Despite the hotel advertising laundry facilities, their dryer was not working and they charge 10€ to do a load for you. We were on the top floor and the a/c wasn’t really working so was a bit warm. Hallways were cooler than room. They said...

"We spent 10 days at la Résidence Les embruns in September, and we loved it. It's an older property that would benefit from some renovations and updates (like a fresh coat of paint all over). That said, it's very close to the wonderful beach, and also services like a grocery store (Carrefour Market). Carole at the reception desk is a pleasure to deal with. Downtown is about one kilometre away, an easy and pleasant walk. Very recommended."

"Not enough instruction. I thought it was a hotel. Because, once I have stayed in the golf. It was the hotel. No front desk, no soap, no shampoo, no tissues. At 9 pm we had to go out to buy all those. Stores were closed. If we were told those we needed to buy, we could have done it before we checked in. Then we couldn’t find bedding, if the instructions were written where we can find, it could been much easier. We spend unnecessary hours to search. "
