"Room was great as was the onsen. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The shuttle to Odawara helped us get back to Tokyo and appreciated receptions assistance with all of this. "
"Thisnis a destination hotel and THE placee to stay. Not only are the grounds flowers and dinners above and beyond, the roof top bath is the best- looks right into Fujisan.
These folks have thought of everything and their staff is a very thoughtful team.
If you have logistical questions they respond on time in English. "
"At the end of a two-week trip to Japan, Hakone Yutowa was a true highlight. We booked one of the condominium suites, which was large even by American hotel standards. The room had its own mineral hot spring bath that faced east and captured a gorgeous sunrise, as well as a spacious sitting room and comfortable beds. The hotel staff were gracious and accommodating, allowing us to leave our bags with them for a few hours after we had checked out. The meals were good, served buffet style; we ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Yukata are provided for guests to wear at meals and around the hotel grounds. The public bath was also fantastic. In the men’s bath, there were two pools, one slightly cooler than the other, as well as a sauna. Although we were not traveling with children, it’s clear that they welcome families here. There are little nooks scattered throughout the property where you will find comic books, toys, places to read and relax, and complimentary snacks and beverages. All in all, it was a really relaxing place to stay. We used the Hakone Free Pass to see the sights, and we definitely recommend the Open-Air Museum, which is one of a kind and features an incredible collection of sculptures by artists from all over the world. "My favourite thing about the stay was the view. We had booked the mountain view and it just so happened that the day had clear skies which meant a fantastic view of Mt. Fuji. Staff was very friendly and spoke good enough English to get us settled in. The room itself was very clean and spacious. Our stay included breakfast and the food was amazing. Buffet style breakfast ensured we had enough food to give us energy to visit neighbouring shrines in the area. The cheap bike rentals was also an added bonus. Usually they’re expensive by the station but at the Hotel it was 500 yen for 3 hours if I’m not mistaken.
There is a lady who works the gift shop and I’d like to say she was very welcoming and thoughtful. She helped with forwarding our luggage to the next hotel and gave us tips about our next location. She waved us goodbye as we left the hotel.
Overall, amazing stay. Food is great, staff is amazing, the view is stellar."
