Tetamanu Village & Sauvage
8/10 Good
"It was great being away from it all and being at a very remote place. Overall I had a great stay. The diving is amazing, especially the Wall of Sharks. Please note that the place is very basic. Don’t expect luxury. The food and transport was included in the room rate, that was nice. However, the food wasn’t special and also repetitive. Breakfast is mostly just pancakes with a small piece of fruit (nothing else). For lunch and dinner it was typically rice, pasta, chicken and a fresh fish. I know there are so many good Tahitian dishes, but I didn’t see much of them. I stayed on Sauvage motu. The cabins are very basic, be prepared for that, if you like camping this might be fine, if you hate camping you will hate the accommodation. Staff was friendly "

Le Tikehau by Pearl Resorts
10/10 Excellent
"Nicest OWB we have stayed in the French Polynesia! Staff was excellent and quite beautiful location. Only thing we would have changed a little was some additional lunch and dinner options at the restaurant. Food was excellent, breakfast included, just was looking for salads and more simple things.
Overall we would highly recommend Le Tikehau!

"I think what makes this place one that you look forward to coming back to is the staff, friendly, helpful, and passionate about their job. Currently under renovation, but you hardly notice it if you are active throughout the day."

Le Coconut Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely stay overall - beautiful small property. Attentive host, comfortable beds- do bring mosquito repellent. Would definitely stay again.
Food was the only disappointment. The set menu the night we had it was a 4oz piece of fish, buttered carrots, a tiny (2 bite) appetizer and a dessert dish that we both found unpalatable. No bread, no choices. My husband left the table still hungry. I would not book the optional dinner again."

Aotera Guest House
10/10 Excellent
"We took our family of 4 and had a lovely time. The location is quiet, peaceful, and remote which we loved. We walked all around the property as much as we pleased and explored the beautiful scenery. The fishing was great and Captain was amazing. They even cooked the fish we caught and the chef was superb. It’s very easy to relax and unwind from the American hustle and bustle at Aotera. The host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful during the whole stay. It definitely was a week in paradise."

Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa

"Lovely location (beautiful views!) with amazing staff (shout out to Ghislaine!). It is a bit expensive and things like the bike and scooter rentals are add-ons as well, but this is what I'd expect in an isolated area like this. Do recommend!"

Ninamu Resort

"Cute Tree house villa with gorgeous views of lagoon. Comfy bed. "

Pension Hotu

"The "cabins" are very crude. They don't have AC and are very dated. Having said that, it cooled off nicely in the cabin. There are gaps below door and around windows.
If you are prepared for crude then it will be a good stay. You are right by the ocean and very quiet. There are bikes, kayaks and standing boards available for use. The meals were very good too.
It was a good experience. Just don't expect fancy at all. "

"Great location, comfortable accommodations, and a very friendly host made our stay just excellent. Thank you, Henry!"
