"This is not our first family staycation at this hotel, as we do enjoy the general tranquility and delicious breakfast spread with the chocolate fountain. It helps that we plan our activities to avoid the crowded peak period for breakfast (9am to 10pm) and the pool (4pm onwards).
For this stay, we got the family room with bunk beds, as our kid is finally old enough that he can climb up and down the ladder safely. He had fun.
Just a small point on food -- the Sunday surprise ice cream at the poolside was thoughtful and fun, but it may be better to avoid clashing squarely with the peak crowd as the rooftop got rather congested. Also, we tried the dinner buffet for the first time and we admired the effort for menu planning, preparation and presentation. However, instead of self service for roast meats, it might work better to serve up roast meats directly from the kitchen so that the cuts (especially the wagyu) remain tender and moist."
