Great location and the bar was very cool. Wonderful rooms but linens could use an upgrade.
This hotel is so creative and cozy! I loved the decorations in the room and the two bar/lounge areas. Parking garage is right next door for $10 a night. Great way to sing in the new year 🎊
Clean room, very large room and bathroom. Huge TV! This was a great location for my event. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Also, the owners were very helpful and attentive via text message.
The room is incredible, beautifully decorated, excellent lay out, large, roomy, comfortable. The bathroom is massive with a gorgeous bath and shower. The air conditioning is quiet and cools perfectly. We loved the comfortable large bed. Just a perfect spot with convenient parking. We were pleasantly surprised.
Very large , newly remodeled rooms, an affordable self-parking garage across the street, and a responsive owner/manager. There is no front desk, so keep that in mind. But the owner have clear checking instructions and immediately responded when we had a question about WiFi and checkout. We'd stay again.

First off, this was a cool off the beaten path place to stay. The room was so spacious, bed was super comfy (none of that box spring stuff), a tub you could actually sit in and enjoy, and just a neat environment to experience. When I had a question, I just texted the check-in number and someone responded. As for the check-in itself, the day of I got all of the required information and steps of how to access the building and my room. I intend to try to stay here again on any return trips back to Tucson that I have to make.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Easy to get to lots of restaurants in walking distance. Wifi was incredibly spotty. And communication was delayed, if I got a response at all. Per instructions we were to reply to a text if we wanted a later checkout. Sent a text twice as instructed, no response at all until the day after I had already checked out. I would go back, but communication was lacking.
Stayed at The Unicorn Zebra and loved it! Such a cool, unique property with huge rooms and great style. The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. Parking was easy, just across the street. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Tucson. Highly recommend! ⭐
it was a great place and easy access to everywhere

This hotel had easy online check in, excellent customer service and a whimsical theme. We made many memories here and took lots of photos. There is a large parking garage across the street and the room was ADA accessible. We will be staying here next trip to Tucson.

Love this place.
This place is so nice and amazing. The owners are super nice. Love to help local business.
This is a great hotel in an excellent location. It’s walking distance to some really good restaurants and bars. The bar attached to the hotel is lovely and the bartender was friendly and made excellent drinks. My only complaint, which is minor, is the outlets on the left side of the bed and in the bathroom didn’t work. Also the coffee creamer was so old it was essentially powder. But there are supplies nearby so I ended up grabbing some more. Again nothing major. I would stay here again.
To begin, I booked this hotel because of its proximity to downtown - not for the amenities. That said, Zebra Unicorn is branded as a boutique luxury hotel - a role in which it fails abysmally.
Let's be clear regarding parameters: Luxury to me means being free of all concern. Unfortunately Zebra Unicorn only added to mine. This began even before check in - as I was asked to provide an abundance of information prior to being given instructions for arrival. That in turn required I drop everything I was doing to spend 10 minutes addressing what is normally handled by the concierge on check in. Luxury? More like economic outsourcing where the consumer is delegated added responsibility.
This was compounded by parking requirements upon check in. This required use of a parking garage which in turn required downloading a parking app. More hassle, more time wasted.
So let's talk about the room.Yes, it was beautifully finished, props for top notch presentation. I would however gladly sacrifice some sheen and luster for more intuitive ergonomics. It's frustrating after a long day's drive to have to fumble with light switches, figuring out what operates what. Again, the complete antithesis of tranquil and serene.
So yeah, all that glitters is not gold. Lesson learned. I can only hope that somewhere out there someone else is listening.
