"Upon walking into the hotel room, we noticed the bathroom was not clean and when we checked the bedding, the sheets on both queen beds had stains. We were traveling with our son and his family including our 5 year old granddaughter and were not comfortable staying there.
We asked for a refund from the front desk and they refused. We left and stayed somewhere else. Neither Riverland Inn & Suites nor Expedia agreed to reimburse us. This was very disappointing. We do not recommend this hotel."
"Quiet clean comfortable. Good continental breakfast. Only glitch was we were put in one of the pet friendly rooms on the main floor which though clean retained some smell of dog body odor. We asked and were immediately relocated to a regular room which was very good. Great value."
"This is a very old motel that is in stages of remodeling. The room was bright and clean with a great view of the river and beyond. The rate was very affordable. We arrived in the middle of the night and appreciated the young man's willingness to carry out heavy bag up the steps to the second floor. I enjoyed being awakened by birdsong, and discovered the birds were actually nesting inside the exterior siding on the back of the building, which has not been renovated.
The in-room coffee was really quite delicious. Some glasses in the bathroom would have been nice. Breakfast was a selection muffins, yogurt and fruit from a bar located in the front check in location."
"They’re doing construction and there were drilling noises (or similar) at 1:30am so I brought it to their attention and they offered me a new quieter room.
Noisy and they denied there was any drilling but they were helpful enough in getting me another room at 1:30 am.
There was also a bug in my bathroom but that seems to be a problem at some other hotels in the area.
The hotel is showing its age (old bathtubs instead of standup showers) but they are renovating.
Otherwise the price is right, great location and friendly staff."
"Clean comfortable rooms reasonable breakfast included hot tub could be hotter staff were friendly and helpful not a high end motel but reasonable value for the price quiet and safe area lots of restaurants nearby (walkable distance)"
"We were on a layover on our way to Vancouver. We are a family of three and had a king room with a pullout couch. The room was very clean, bright and accommodated us well. We had a great sleep and appreciated that it was quiet."
