"Had a problem finding the place, parking a bit of a problem during the day. Friendly people, clean rooms and en-suite. Adequate Continental breakfast, with a snack box take away if you feel like snacking later."
"Smooth check in, very clear instructions. Easy, free parking just a few steps away. Lovely room, with beautiful furniture and decorative items. The room was large with comfy seating, as well as table and chairs for eating, plus a wonderful view of the harbour. Very comfy bed. Thoughtful touches in the room including chilled water, wine, cheese and oatcakes. Being opposite Co-op was very handy for food, though there were several options in the town too. Breakfast options were good, and delivered exactly when we asked. Would definitely recommend."
"We stayed in the sauna room which was recently refurbished, staff were incredibly rude and inattentive, food was microwaved ready meal at best. The room itself was fine, shower was broken. The sauna was nice although it smelled incredibly unclean. I definitely would not recommend staying here. 0 atmosphere either. Also the hot tub was broken which was not communicated to us until we arrived honestly AVOID."
"The Ashbank is a lovely little hotel. Comfortable, clean and welcoming. Already planning to go back same weekend next year and stay a wee bit longer, as the bath is very deep and looks ideal for a muscle soak after running a half marathon!
And, of course, Carradale is a beautiful place, small, quiet, surrounded by huge trees and open landscapes, on the less beaten track down the east side of Kintyre.
Go see the area, you won't be disappointed."
"The bathroom had black mold in the shower and had a horrible odor. The restaurant was grossly understaffed. Customers were leaving for golf tee times without breakfast after waiting 45+ minutes. Had dinner at restaurant as well and it took 2.5 hours for an average 3 course dinner. Staff again was overwhelmed."
