Also, we couldn’t find the house in the first place since it has no name on it, neither would people living there know the place (in the hostel itself it then shows a different name). "From the moment i arrived at the property i felt a peaceful energy. the aesthetic of the hotel was my favorite, the beach was beautiful, loved the room. I was solo traveling, but didn’t feel alone at all. Staff made me feel at home. They truly outdid themselves very attentive and willing to help in anything you need! Ketzy at the reception so kind and helpful going out of her way! I recommend getting a massage by Michelle she was amazing worth every penny. At the bar and grill food was delicious and drinks. Brixie so sweet and attentive took great care of me and all the waitresses . I loved my stay there it was everything I needed I 100% recommend this hotel. And I would totally come back! It fits the puerto viejo pura vida vibe! Thank you hotel banana azul for an amazing time!"

"Absolutely stunning property and am so glad we splurged a bit to stay here. Location is great - so close to Playa Negra and only a short drive from the main part of Puerto Viejo. We arrived in the dark and the street lights around the area are not super bright, so I'm glad that someone was able to check us in because I’m quite certain we would have struggled to find the parking. Our room was spacious and super comfortable. Thoughtfully designed to have a bit of storage as well. We did run into an A/C issue on one of the days, which was a bummer but it was really easy to get hold of the owner and they were able to fix it the next day, Super grateful that all their rooms do have fans (or it would have been a tough night). Bathroom was really well designed and we loved having an outdoor shower."

"The property is gorgeous, the view is even better. The bungalow was spacious, spotless, and had everything needed for a perfect retreat. Park your car and let Carlos drive up the harrowing hillside, you’ll thank me later! I came late in the season after a powerful thunderstorm so the pool was closed, also there were no other guests, made for a lonely stay."

"We had such an amazing stay here. The room was the perfect size for me, my husband, and our two children, spacious, comfortable, and very well kept. Everything throughout the property was extremely clean, which made us feel right at home. The pool was a standout, super clean and well maintained, which we really appreciated. You can tell they put a lot of care into every detail. What truly made this stay exceptional was how attentive everyone was. The host communicated so well from start to finish, making everything smooth and stress-free. It’s those extra touches and level of care that really take the experience from good to unforgettable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place."
