"We had a lovely weekend at this hotel and spa and overall really enjoyed our stay. The amenities were very good and provided everything we needed for a relaxing break. The staff were excellent throughout—friendly, attentive and welcoming, which really added to the experience. The location was also a highlight. The nearby village was lovely to explore, and there was a nice little walk close by, which was perfect for getting out and enjoying the surroundings. The only real disappointment was the food. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience and did let the weekend down a little. With a better dining experience, this would have been a fantastic stay from start to finish. Overall, though, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend and would happily consider returning."

"This is an old pub with all of the character you would expect. The location is great and the staff are excellent. It is not the Ritz - but it is clean and affordable. Can be some ambient noise, but that depends on room and time of night. Breakfast was excellent - poached eggs with smoked salmon. Lots of choices."

"The ambience was lovely on arrival, the staff efficient and I enjoyed the spa facilities. The room was excellent, clean and well supplied with tea, coffee, toiletries, towels etc. The only slight disappointment was that there were twin beds rather than the double I'd requested."
