Sao Cha Liang, cool mushroom-shaped rock formations in Pha Taem National Park.  Looking like something out of the old Road Runner cartoons, this area was filled with inspired artists trying to recreate them on canvas.
  
These can be found in other areas of Isan (such as in Mukdahan National Park a bit further north), but being able to also see ancient rock paintings and the first sunrise over Thailand make this park a great destination.
