"Fabulous stay (sadly, only one night) in this friendly, beautiful, well-run hotel. As a decorator, I appreciated the new decor with wainscot molding, beautiful hallway carpeting, quality, opening windows and great air conditioning. Complimentary ride to the airport the next morning was also a bonus. Loved our stay here!"

"Checkin was a disaster compounded by unnecessary surliness and incompetence. They demand a 24 hour pre check in online and I did that noting that I would stop by at 1 pm to drop bags and avail myself of their luggage storage option. I received an email back thanking me for pre-check in. I showed up at 3 pm and there was a family from Montreal also looking to check in early. The phone didn’t pick up then a random guy came and accosted us for being early and I explained I spelled it out in the pre check in. He said to give him 5 minutes. That turned into fifteen minutes and then some other guy showed up and accosted us again and shut the door and left us out on the street in the hot weather. I found his language to be rude and abrasive as did the Montreal family. Finally some hotel guests took pity on us and let us in and showed us where the luggage storage was and we went to get some water nearby (why that was so difficult for the hotel staff Ill never know). I don’t know why they bother with the pre-registration kabuki. Then my room didn’t have a frying pan but there was a whisk and a spatula. After three days I gave up asking. It’s unfortunate because it’s a nicely renovated old building in a convenient spot though it was interesting that they have a placard at the front desk advising guests not to argue with staff so somehow the surliness is built into the hospitality illusion they offer. It was like a surly Fawlty Towers Totally uncalled for. C’est dommage."

"The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Mashir (?), a server in the bar/restaurant, must have noticed how tired and hot we were when we arrived and he came over and gave us cool water. He was a fabulous server and tended to our needs. We really appreciated the service we received. Our only complaint was the room was very hot. It felt great when we arrived, but it got progressively hotter. Otherwise, the room was very clean and comfortable!"

"1. Parking, ton of parking spots. Looks like they are trying to add electric chargers. Secured with closed gate (as this is an airport hotel) we felt safe leaving our luggage in the car. The gate is closed after 10pm, just call them and they will come. 2. Super nice staff, friendly and helpful 3. They have a shuttle service to the airport 4. Clean spacious room, beds were comfy 5. Can’t comment on the breakfast, cause didn’t have it. 6. Location: 10 mins from airport and 15mins from Basel center. Overall for what I paid, I could not be more impressed."
