"The place is very nice and clean, however we felt a little bit scammed for the price of the food which is over European standard. They only have one choice and asked 20$ for it and you really don’t have other options in the area. They let you pay also the water…the road to come is very bad also. I’d not stay again"

"We had a wonderful stay at this lodge in Entebbe! The location is truly special—right on the lake and only accessible by water taxi, which makes it feel like a peaceful escape from everything. "The facilities are new and beautiful. They overlook the small crater lake Munyanyange which hosts birds year round and lesser flamingoes in July/August. The staff are excellent. The chef is superb! Very close to a gate for Queen Elizabeth. Staff helpful in arranging tours and walks as desired. An up and coming location, I believe. It can be hard to find initially as Google maps doesn’t have the back roads of Katwe, only the main road. If a sign goes down, you will need to ask directions...

"I am really, really tired of hotels claiming that they have ‘free wifi’ (I stay in hotels >300 nights per year). This hotel had only intermittent electricity (so no power to the small fan in the room at night). In 48 hour stay perhaps 2 hours of connectivity. I encourage Hotels.com to add a third category “wifi MAY be available”"

"My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived....

"This spot is great. It definitely isn't the most luxurious place but, for those who are game, it is a wonderful property with extremely attentive and caring staff. It is nestled right in the edge of the Kiwali forest and a great jumping off point for chimp trekking."
