Lovely beach, plenty of places to eat, everyone in hotel and restaurants were extremely friendly






Unique features of Talpe include the seaside views and gardens. Make a stop by Mihiripenna Beach or Koggala Beach while you're exploring the area.

We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved.

The room was spacious, clean and luxurious. There were a few bugs but this is to be expected staying in the jungle. The check in staff were fantastic and very pleasant. The restaurant was a little slow with their service, and better food can be found in town.

Lovely resort perfect balance. Lots of places to eat lovely beaches, lots to see nearby. Easy to get here by train from Colombo which is a 2 hour scenic ride for £1 with a seat.
Town is excellent full of local restaurants serving great cuisine Staff wet excellent
the place is good but the watergate resorts is not.
We have been there three times now as a couple . Love the country love the friendly people . Just a great place to go and feel great .
Further you go south the finer the beaches Unawatuna itself is really for the younger generation
