"This hotel was perfect. You walk in the door and it smells amazing. They even have free cookies at the front desk. The breakfast was very good too. Sausage, omelets , has browns, cinnamon rolls . Plus all the regular stuff like cereal or yogurt. Really beautiful hotel with super clean rooms"
"All staff were excellent. Issues were with the property, that has a 4 star ranking. No room service, no included breakfast, parking charges, $20 for a glass of wine in downstairs bar, overpriced restaurant on top level, cheap uncomfortable pillows, housekeeping upon request, hot water in the shower after leaving on for 10-15 minutes, no microwave, no minibar, two very small drawers, no turndown service, bathroom sinks do not drain properly, room temperature will not go below 66 degrees. Positives were: outdoor pool, exceptional staff and location."
"This was a beautiful hotel! So clean! The room was large and the bathroom was huge! We were just passing through so we didn’t swim but it did have beautiful indoor pool!"
"To be clear, the STAFF at this property were extremely kind. The room itself, especially the tub, was totally disgusting. I didn’t look at the tub when I checked in, I noticed it the next morning when I took a shower. The staff told me they were required to have bath mats and there was a delay in getting them delivered.
I don’t have any idea what the other grime wax on the floor.
It’s a cheap, very old motel. Lots of other guests hanging around on the stairway to the 2nd level (right outside my room), having loud conversations on their speaker phones.
I would never stay here again and would definitely not recommend."
"The Spartanburg Marriott is a lovely place in great condition with high end finishes in the common areas, a convenient parking garage on site, clean and comfortable rooms and a helpful staff. We've stayed multiple times, for one night at a time, when passing through the area. It's worth the short drive from the interstate to stay in a place that is quiet and welcoming. We'll be staying there again, and again."
