"Very handily placed hotel with parking for Leicester town centre or the football or rugby grounds, all around 20 minutes walk. Room was clean and tidy and the breakfast was good value for money."

"Good basic room. The bathroom smelled faintly of urine which made me question how thoroughly it’s cleaned. It’s a bit noisy, both from street noise (always seemed to be people yelling outside at all hours), and thin walls. Breakfast was tasty and staff was very pleasant."

" The property was advertised as offering free parking. At check-in, we were asked to provide our car registration number for the duration of our stay, which we did in good faith. However, a week later we received a parking fine for using the hotel car park. When we contacted Holiday Inn, they advised that they were unable to assist and that we would need to appeal directly to the parking company, providing proof of our stay. We have submitted this appeal and are currently awaiting a response. The parking arrangements at the hotel should be clearly and accurately described. The car park does not appear to be managed by the hotel, and despite collecting vehicle registration details, the hotel does not ensure these are effectively communicated to the parking operator. This has resulted in unnecessary inconvenience and stress."

"Building site, unsafe, filthy, completely different from pictures on hotels.com. No lounge bar, no reception area. Should not have been open We walked out and drove home they refused to give me my money back."

"This is a comfortable place to stay closed to the city centre yet in a quiet and tranquil location. It is due to close and will be a great loss. We have stayed many times and will miss it enormously. Many thanks to the staff for their care and attention over the years."
