Our recent stay at CHÄRNSMATT Gasthof & Spielparadies in Rothenburg was nothing short of exceptional and easily one of the most satisfying hotel experiences we've ever had, especially as a family. This isn't just a place to sleep; it's a complete destination that truly understands hospitality and creates joy for all ages. From the moment we arrived, the warm and genuinely friendly staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Check-in was smooth, and they were always on hand with a smile, ready to assist with any request, making us feel valued guests rather than just another booking. The atmosphere throughout the Gasthof is one of comfort and genuine care. For families with small kids, the "Spielparadies" (play paradise) would be an absolute game-changer. The extensive outdoor playground, with its unique and beloved Liliput Railway are surely amazing . The indoor play area is also a fantastic bonus, ensuring fun even on a rainy day. This focus on family-friendly amenities truly sets CHÄRNSMATT apart. Beyond the incredible play facilities, the culinary experience was a highlight. The breakfast was one of the best in our entire Europe trip. Especially a lady staff with a very beautiful smile, greeted us with a genuine, warm smile and a cheerful "Good morning!" that instantly brightened our day. Her energy was infectious, and she created such a welcoming and positive atmosphere in the breakfast area. "

"Location next to a fairly large shopping center and a Coop (for groceries) was very convenient. With our check-in bags from flight not coming through with us due to an airline hiccup, going shopping immediately next door to get essentials was amazing. "

"The front desk man was helpful, I parked outside of the hotel, close to the train station 7pm-8am is free. It’s about 400m walk if I am right. Coffee vending machines on the ground floor or you can buy breakfast. "

"A bit away from downtown, so you will need to have food before heading back to the hotel. Quite near to bus stop/tram stop, and is about 15minutes away from downtown."
