OUTRIGGER Kaanapali Beach Resort

"Location was perfect, lots of beautiful beaches around this area. Huge perk is location right on the beach, walkable beach to Whalerโs Village and Maui Brewing onsite. Luxury pricing but hotel is dated. It was clean and comfortable. Pool was looking pretty old but we still swam in it. The grounds were nice, all staff were helpful and very kind. Parking is $26 a day in garage on top of resort fee of $45 which I thought was steep, but it was secure and convenient. The luxury is the location, though rooms are dated, they were clean and comfortable with decent shampoo/conditioner etcโฆ so I would possibly stay again. We enjoyed our time."

"Absolutely a friendly hotel the staff were so helpful and sweet, Zelle the towel lady by the pool was always so happy, Leonard our โ scooby doo mini bus driverโ was wonderful happy, friendly and helpful, Joshua the bell man/ โscooby doo mini bus driver also was so helpful and sweet. The hotel was in such a convenient location by absolutely everything. To see the staff cleaning none stop even the walls in the hallways on evenings was impressive.. loved our stay at Maui coast hotel and we will definitely be going back even with a long flight from NY - PS! My favorite thing was they offered fresh flowers ๐บ daily for the ladies to wear in their hair - a sweet touch! Beautiful place to stay 100% yes! There are fancier places but this by far is the friendliest ๐๐"

"Property was nice but is more like a condo rental than "resort". The view from my room was beautiful and not too far from free parking. The room is very large with a stand up shower, decent kitchen, tv, and lanai. However the Murphy Bed was super hard and uncomfortable. I had a back ache every day and noticed blood stains on the sheets later. :( There is absolutely NO service here so don't expect room service or anything brought to you. For new towels, you must call before 3pm and put your dirty towels in a provided trash bag and housekeeping will drop off clean ones at your doorstep. You only get 3 pool towels so you can hang them out to dry on the lanai. There is minimal toiletries: a blow dryer, 2 bars of soap 1 small tube of lotion and 1 small tube of shampoo/conditioner combo. There is a coin op laundry on site. Pools are very clean and the mail pool is heated and has a nice jacuzzi. The other pool is right in front of the Gazebo restaurant so no privacy there. It's a very quiet property for the most part. I had a loud neighbor on the day I was leaving but overall quiet and an older crowd. They do have grills too with power outlets so it's great for cooking instead of paying ridiculous Maui prices for "ok" food. You can walk to the beach as well but use the streets to avoid climbing over rocks. A great stay if you don't mind no services and no on-site bar or restaurant. Gazebo restaurant is not owned by the property and the 1-2 hour wait is not worth the ok food."
