"We stayed at the Hotel Sukha for the Europa League Final, the hotel staff were superb, excellent customer service (Indurre, Jourre, Dani, Onintza & Maitetxci). Our taxt driver let us down last minute but the hotel staff all called around and ensure we had a lift to and from Bilbao. We also enjoyed breakfast and an evening meal all the a very high quality. We were a group of 6 and would all recommend this hotel and area of Spain."

Disgruntled

"After a 7 hour drive we tried to book in for our three day stay. The Host started to book us in but stopped when he saw we had brought Water and Food with us. Although we tried to explain my partner was diabetic and I had only one kidney which meant we needed food and our own food. By this time it was 7.30pm and we were tired after a 7 hour drive from Andora and finally found a hotel 8 miles away at &,35pm. "

A Top class Property

"Hotel IJ is a gem of a property deep in Basque country. Set in a gorgeous rural environment atop a small village and surrounded by hills and farms, it is the perfect country getaway. The building is as stunning as the photographs and the rooms have an elegant\ vintage charm to them. Regarding food, breakfast was our favourite meal with dinners at the cafe being little underwhelming. We never got a chance to try the fine dining option. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. I want to put a special mention and appreciation for some front desk staff members who went above and beyond to assist me with a concern with my car rental. I was treated unprofessionally by Avis with a car breakdown but the staff helped me with the language barrier and service concern in a foreign country and I really want to thank them for that and look forward to visiting again. "
