"The villa is beautifully arranged and has a somewhat jungle-like ambiance. The room, styled in an African theme, was tidy. The staff proved to be exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering advice on places to visit and assisting with taxi arrangements. Breakfast includes fruits, eggs, and coffee. The location is convenient as well. I would highly recommend this place."

"PLEASE BE AWARE. This place overbooks clients so when you arrive they say there is NO reservation under your name. Then they send you to another location of much lower quality. People at the new location confirmed that they do this all the time. It is not a mistake but rather a scam. I left that second location and was lucky to find a nice hotel nearby for the same price. I did get a refund but most people will probably stay where they are forced to stay due to lack of options and uncertainty. I...

"Safari House had plenty of space for our family of five. While not in the heart of Stone Town, it wasn't a far walk (10 min) to get there. Romaine, our host, was quite accommodating. The power and water shut off in the morning and he was over immediately to fix it (we didn't realize it was on a timer and was an easy fix). He also allowed us to store our luggage there after checkout time while we went out for a bit before our flight home. "

"Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented.
