"Lovely clean family room, all brand new furnishings so really comfortable. Quiet calm place to stay, self check in so barely see anyone but that’s just fine. Lovely view of sea from room and if not then only ten paces and at sea wall so you can hear it and feel near it. Not much going on in town but just very calm and quaint and authentic so not over touristy, which is perfect. Ideal base for exploring region."

"The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. "It was really special to experience a fisherman’s cottage in a genuine fishing village. Could not have been better than in the home of Cullen Skink. As you would imagine it’s very compact and very homely. It was lovely to listen to the ocean at night and see all the bird life. You aren’t very far from the ocean even if you’re not in the front row. It’s clean, warm and comfortable. Could do with a cheese grater."

"This is our second stay at the Firth Hotel and really enjoyed it again. The rates are very competitive and cheerful as well as not breaking the bank are massive pluses. The rooms are clean, lovely sea view, very quiet, staff make check in easy. It's peaceful and a lovely staycation destination. Rooms despite being budget have a fan and a fridge as well as hairdryer, iron and decent pillows. The Smugglers bar is not far away with comfy seats and friendly locals and reasonable drink and food prices. For the price we paid, thought it was good value, good accommodation, good location, good staff and good experience. Will be back and thanks for having us."
