"This property was clean and in working order. It had a breakfast available but not included with room. They did have laundry service available which came back in a timely fashion. "

"At first I was a little skeptical as this hotel is self-check in and I was concerned about accessing my room however I was pleasantly surprised and very happy that I selected Giessen Hotel and Coffeehouse! There were easy to use directions to check in and the ability to self code a key or more was super easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The best part was breakfast! It was by far the most enjoyable breakfast experience we have had in our travels. The Coffeehouse assigned our table by room number so finding a space was not a problem. The self select menu was perfect and allowed for as much food as you could eat. After you make your breakfast selections, give the list to the staff and they take over. The service was quick and the food was fresh and delicious! The coffee was wonderful and I highly recommend the Ginger Lemon shots! The hotel is also centrally located so getting to the the surrounding sites was also very easy! I highly recommend a stay at the Giessen Hotel and Coffeehouse. "

"What a great hotel within walking distance from the train station. Nice, inviting lobby. The staff were excellent. Room was very comfortable, and loved the bathroom. Most are very small in Switzerland, this was very nice. Big shower with a rain shower and wand. Sink was a little slow to drain. Breakfast had a variety of choices. Excellent stay after 20 days solo traveling around Switzerland. "

"Good hotel in old part of Chur - about 15 mins walk from train station. Great rooms - comfy beds and clean. Breakfast very nice too. My only negative was the lady on check in who was quite unfriendly and did not give me a good first impression - I understand many people stay for just one night but that’s the nature of the town and the business. I found her quite intimidating "

"The staff at the front desk were terribly Friendly- MS REBECCA, KUSEY (hope I got it right) and the very lovely GM of the hotel. She offered my husband the local beer which was a very kind gesture. We were surprised at the respectfulness, friendliness and everything that you can ask from a front desk staff. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast buffet was delicious. My husband enjoyed the bacon."
