"An excellent place to stay for holidays in the Pyrénées with a car, whizzing around the Camino De Santiago. The staff are very kind and helpful - the place is run by a young couple who own the place. They maintain the property and serve the guests themselves. They're wonderfully kind and friendly, offering recommendations of places to visit, tourist destinations and things to do. There is breakfast of local produce which is included in the price and can be taken outside on the nice little balcony facing the stream. The sound of the stream is lovely, like white noise in the background, and it is refreshing to be by the water, particularly in thr heatwave. There is no AC but there are fans in each room which provide enough cooling to sleep well. The windows also have shutters which keep the heat out well during the day. In the evening, you can opt in to have tapas dinner which costs extra - homemade croquettes and other local produce, including local sheep cheese aged to varying degrees. Overall, a fantastic, peaceful and quaint stay with the friendliest of hosts."

"The room was very clean & bright. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel was in the centre of this lovely town (Espelette) & next to the shops. I understand the breakfasts are well liked but I didn’t eat breakfast there. The was a helpful book re trails including the one to the top of the hill right opposite my bedroom window. I enjoyed the 11+ miles & 3 hills hike. The All Trails App nicely led the way. On the morning I left (early)!to hike up La Rhune (the highest hill in the Pyrenees) a mere 10miles away & near the Spanish border. An amazing experience and the hotel was very well located for both these hikes…"

"Great and not. This is really up hill on an árbol, without power, dry toilet facility with an exceptional welcoming from Hotess Alicia, she’ll cook for you if requested totally recommend. It was hard to go up hill with a carryon but my meal “Cordero” with integral rice it was amazing, spending the night there was a lifetime experience. Then wake up to a relax breakfast she prepared for us! THANK YOU ALICIA from your Cuban guests "

"This room was excellent. We booked two rooms and they were very clean well furnished with plenty of hot water. I would highly recommend this hotel/hostel as the single rooms were very comfortable, including heat and AC. The meals were very delicious! The restaurant bar met all of our expectations with plenty of food and drink. The staff were especially professional! Their hospitality was especially nice after the long trek of 23 miles! 👍 I would highly recommend this stay!"
