The owner/ contact person was friendly and followed up after we checked in. At check in we only detected some stained pillow covers which were promptly replaced. The stains, we were told, were the cleaners attempts at deodorising the room and bed for non smokers...so they spray right on the pillow covers?! Don't think so.
In essence, the location is good, the neighbourhood safe, the noise in the late evening to about 3 to 4am on Sat and Sun mornings, unbearable and very difficult to get an unbroken sleep. The bed in our apartment faces a kid's playground which party goers park in after their venues are shut. Once again, the owner was very amiable but I did not bother to point so many things because I had four nights to stay and did not want to argue (we didn't because there were simply too many). Even a plate and wine glass were dirty. It's simply neglect, not investing and cutting corners. The reviews on other review sites are more accurate than the one that rateswhich 8.3-8.4. No way. We paid a premium for for a one bedroom apartment. It was on level 1. The foyer had an irksome smell, the shower drain did not drain unless you stomped your foot over it. The bathroom door handle nailed loosely on? There's nowhere to place the soap or dispenser, it was simply not worth the money. The towels, kitchen tea towels were all ratty. Mr owner, I understand this may come as a surprise but there was no point to let you know all these bad things. You simply could not fix.
