"Great service and location. We had a villa but it turned out to be just one room. Small details such as shower not having a place to put shampoo and soap were missed, but overall good stay. "

"Positives:
1) Wonderful staff, could not do enough for you - kind, friendly, attentive. Particular thanks to Leela, Khushal, Issa and Girja Chouhan.
2) Comfortable beds/rooms. Nice style.
3) Tasty food. Lots on offer
4) Beautiful surroundings/pool area.
5) One party member unwell during stay and staff were very helpful in sourcing medical support.
Negatives:
1) Had to move rooms because there was a significant wasp problem in our private pool - told it was because it is a jungle...

"A Wonderful Family Stay at Wyndham Grand Udaipur
We had a fantastic 5-night stay at Wyndham Grand Udaipur with our family. The hotel’s stunning location near Fateh Sagar Lake, peaceful views of the Aravalli hills, spacious and well-maintained rooms, and beautiful surroundings made it the perfect place to relax after exploring Udaipur and nearby attractions.
What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional hospitality. Every staff member was warm, courteous, and always ready to help. The breakfast buffet and restaurants offered excellent vegetarian options, and the concierge and front office team were extremely helpful with our travel arrangements.
Overall, Wyndham Grand Udaipur offers the perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and outstanding service. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend it to families visiting Udaipur.
We look forward to staying here again."
"We loved the people. They made the stay unforgettable. The views are likely the best in Udaipur. The property is spectacular.
I would only recommend having more options in the menu for North Indian non vegetarian dishes. But even then there were ample choices.
Often you don't get what you pay for, but this property is worth it and more."
"The Leela Palace Udaipur – An Unforgettable Stay
My three days at The Leela Palace Udaipur were nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, the entire team made me feel safe, cared for, and genuinely pampered.
Special thanks to Raza, my driver, who anticipated every need, made sure my to-do list for Udaipur was fully taken care of, and even connected me with specialised, wholesale vendors for souvenir shopping so I got the best pieces at the best prices. Kuldeep at the salon gave me a wonderfully relaxing, professional experience. And Leiyla, my butler, made the stay feel truly special, attentive to every detail throughout.
The team ensured I tried authentic Udaipur specialities, arranged knowledgeable guides for the monuments, and even coordinated a VIP darshan with a pandit ji at Shrinathji Temple. The folk music and dance performances were absolutely breathtaking, and the pottery session and lakh bangle making added such a special, personal touch to the trip. The breakfast and dinner spreads were exceptional every single day.
This wasn't just a hotel stay — it was a beautifully curated experience. Highly recommend The Leela Palace Udaipur to anyone looking for a restorative, well taken care of solo trip."
"I had a wonderful stay at Radisson Blu Udaipur. The room was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, which made the experience even better.
The staff were polite, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality made the stay feel pleasant and smooth.
The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of fresh and tasty options. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and I would happily recommend the resort to others."
"It’s a great location, away from the crowds but with a great view of the lake and the town. Rooms were nice, quiet, and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There is a beautiful pool and Spa. Food was delicious."
"While the property is beautiful and well-maintained, a few aspects of the experience fell short of expectations considering the premium pricing.
The food options were quite limited, and the taste seemed intentionally toned down to cater to international preferences. Ironically, many visitors come to India hoping to experience authentic Indian cuisine, flavors, culture, and hospitality. The overall dining experience, including the music and ambience, felt more aligned with international trends than with the warmth and richness of Indian hospitality.
As we were celebrating our anniversary, I had expected the hotel to take note of it proactively, but I had to remind the staff to arrange a cake.
Another disappointment was that all three restaurants are located indoors, with none offering lake-facing dining. Given the stunning surroundings, this felt like a missed opportunity to create a truly memorable dining experience.
The pool area was also smaller than expected. While there was seating around the pool and within our suite, it did not feel particularly comfortable or practical for spending extended periods relaxing by the water. For a luxury property, one would expect thoughtfully designed lounging spaces where guests can comfortably unwind and enjoy the views.
The landscaping is aesthetically pleasing, but most of the trees appear to have been planted primarily for visual appeal rather than functionality. There was very little natural shade available, making it difficult"
"The Verandah is excellent value in Udaipur. We booked a king size room with a balcony overlooking the lake. The views were wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was good with hot water for the shower.
The restaurant was good and the breakfast including the coffee which was excellent.
The location is ideal for visiting the city's key sites, many in walking distance or a short auto rickshaw drive away. It is located in an area that cars cannot access so you have to plan to use a rickshaw to reach the property.
The staff were the highlight however. Pretty much everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Nimmi at reception was a particular standout. She was cheerful and helpful on every occassion.
Overall highly recommend this property!"
