Great two night stay. Clean, room was ready an hour before check in. Parking was easy, room was clean, beds were comfortable. We were also surprised when our family pf 5 two queen bed room had an additional single twin bed with a door in the room! Renovations were not happening over the weekend so construction was non existent. Only downfall was the pool wasnt opened. Main reason for this hotel pick was specifically for the pool so that was a bummer.

Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. We had some noise issues with other guests well into the night, but the staff accommodated us to another room. A coffee station in the lobby would have been nice.

The restaurant and restaurant service was good. The rest was far from good! My room on 3rd floor was accessed from the elevator via a couple of corridors of in-progress contractors' buckets, cables, carts of tools, blaring music machines, dust and general mess. The carpets were laid only in a middle strip down the centre of the corridors as walls, ceilings (and all else apparently), were being painted. Painters' tape covered fixtures, light fittings were hanging down. The workers themselves were quite pleasant and moved things out of the way to let one pass. The room itself was sparse and clean - "newly renovated", as boasted by the front desk when I pointed out that it was a travesty to charge full price for that experience and when I requested that my room be changed. (My request was of course, denied.) The view from the window was grim - grimy back alleyway and roof tops. Admittedly, the bed linen looked impeccable, and the mattress was comfortable, but, the linens and pillow did not smell fresh! The Keurig was equipped with 3 little Keurig pots of coffee and two teabags (each a different tea) but only one creamer. A nice little note stated that if one had perhaps forgotten/needed something, one could go down to the desk to request it (once the weary traveler had got over the shock of the corridors and already put their feet up? I doubt it!)

For the money this location cannot be beat. Quick and easy parking, check in was flawless and super fast room service. This was my third stay and I will stay again the next time I'm visiting Vancouver.
