"Although we have stayed many times before our experience of this 4 night visit was not good. We booked a suite room the top grade. The cottage suite looked impressive but had only frosted windows and a skylight. There was an extremely unpleasant odour from the bathroom toilet and we felt sick by morning and asked to move rooms. Not possible. We would have to stay another night then had to check out at 10 am and be roomless until 3pm. The new suite room was very cramped dark and state the of the carpet stains made us hate the idea of the mattress! The saviour of the day was the lovely housekeeper and she understood and helped us move to a smaller double room that was extremely clean and pleasant. The manager told us it was refurbished and he would look after the cost adjustment. We will wait to see but there was not a refund we checked out. Apparently a fan that diverts the toilet odour was not on but we feel two poor rooms and a day of the four checked out rather spoiled the overall stay."
"Lovely treehouse room, breakfast was awesome… possible one of the best I have had.
Location is fantastic… only downside for me this time was pool and spa closed. But I guess they gave to maintain them sometime."
"Lovely garden view double room with a balcony and an additional bed for my son.
Our bed was comfortable but my son is 11 and found the temporary bed too soft and small.
Lovely fresh breakfast, lots of choice of continental and hot items, although some cooked items were warm rather than hot. Impressed by the local apple juice too.
Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and steam room. Under 16’s not allowed in hot tub, steam room or sauna which is right as they are too hot for them! Unfortunately that there are only 2 times when children are allowed in the pool; 9-10am and 3-4.30pm. We arrived after 4pm so we’re only able to use this the following morning, but it was clean with good changing facilities. We didn’t have time to use the tennis court as we only stayed one night, but hope to next time!"
"The hotel was well maintained. The common areas were beautifully decorated and furnished. The breakfast was very good. Although the bedroom was small, there was sufficient storage space. The bathroom (shower and toilet. The sink was in the bedroom), was tiny, which made showering difficult. But my main gripe was the thickness of the wall between my room and the next: I was kept awake on my first two nights by the snoring of the individual in the next room. But apart from that, I would say that the hotel was above average."
