"My partner and I booked this property however when we arrived at 7pm, there was a large gate blocking the entrance and no one was there. We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. "This was a wonderful first stop on our vacation as is it was midway betweeen San Jose and La Fortuna. We stayed in the family villa for 2 nights and found it to be spacious with beautifully landscaped grounds. The local waterfalls were easily accessible and we could walk to local restaurants. "La Finca Azul is a really nice place to stay. We only stayed for one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer. It's surrounded by beautiful nature, with a river nearby. The food was good, and the owner's daughters were really sweet to our two-year-old. If you want a peaceful getaway with nature and friendly people, this is a great place to go."
