"Overall, it was a good place to stay; everything was close and at walking distance. Took one star off because the room had like a musty smell, like it hadn’t been used in a while, or maybe the last guest smoked in there, even though it was a nonsmoker room. We opened the windows and that’s seemed to help. On the other hand, staff was great, place was clean. "

"Liked rooms, fireplace, patio, breakfast. There seemed to be a small leak in the bathroom that made the floor wet and the fan in the bathroom was very loud."

"The hotel is absolutely lovely -- the staff were all kind and professional. We did ask about getting a different room that wasn't on the first floor in a dark corner...but the room was so cute we eventually didn't care. But if you book with a third party -- such as Expedia -- they won't upgrade or accommodate requests. "
