What a cute little place to stay!!! Beautiful grounds, nice pool, great walking distance to shop, restaurants, and beaches! We are so pleased that we chose to stay here!

Good value
I had trouble connecting to the internet, but Kim was very helpful. Nice place to stay. Kim even found a rain poncho to loan us. We had a great couple days in Vero Beach!

Best kept secret in Vero Beach. Close to some of the best restaurants and Beach shops. No need to drive anywhere once you arrive.

Sleepless in Vero
We arrived at 9pm and check in went well, they had called and given directions on how to get into the hotel. When we got in the room it looked okay but when we sat on the bed it was so soft it felt like it was caving in. The mattress was so old and they threw a topper on it which was so hot! We spent a misrable uncomfortable night. We finally dozed off at 330am. At 715 we woke and called the desk. We were given 3 room keys to go and try beds, like Goldilocks! One room had a better mattress, not great but better. We hurried and changed rooms. We were told the owner has been told many times about bedding issues! Shame shame shame! We left on the third day in considerable back pain. The staff is trying hard, but it is a terrible situation sleepless in Vero

The pool is great. My great granddaughter (3.5 yr) and her mama, my granddaughter, could not get enough of it. The area around the pool is comfy. If you want a sterile Hilton environment, this is not the place. But if you like a bit of nostalgia the Turtle is pure 1950s updated to the 1960s. Location is great, close to the beach, play parks, restaurants, a liquor store, etc. Only negative is that I did not see a smoke/CO detector in the unit - really should have 1 in each bedroom.

I hate to write poor reviews but this property was in very poor condition. I understand old, but my unit had blinds that looked like they have never once been cleaned and the saddest looking ac unit with paper stuffed into it. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but I left after one. Such a shame, the location is great.

I left 30 min after I arrived. Room was hot, nobody in office, keys were left in a box to pick up. Would have asked for a refun but it’s “non refundable” plus there was nobody on site to talk to. Seemed unsafe so I chose to leave.

Quintessential southern Floridal hotel
The room we were first placed in was very humid and dirty. Directly after adressing our issues with the staff, Karen placed us in a much nicer and cleaner room. She tended to our needs very quickly and was available via phone any time we needed her. The place has a quintessential south Florida charm but could definitley use updating.

Change the mattress in apartment 14
The mattress needs changing in apartment # 14. Had to sleep across the king-sized bed as it sank in the middle. Outdated bathroom and shower over the bath. Strange to have an oversized hand soap bottle and no shower soap. The apartment was clean and for anyone who was staying for an extended trip and mindful of costs there was a small kitchen with oven.

We have stayed here several times and it is such a cute, well-appointed, private hotel. Always spotless, the apartments have kitchens, and family accommodations if you have kids or traveling with guests. The owners are very friendly and attentive. Walkable to all the best shops and restaurants in Vero and a block off the beach. If you want a quiet getaway that will have everything you need, stay here, you won’t be disappointed.

The room smelled like mold as well as dressers so couldn’t use them. Could not open blinds as pool was two feet away and people could see right in. Cleanning was only available upon request. Several days ran out of towels wash cloths etc. owners and staff friendly just not my cup of tea.

Great beach motel
Great little motel in Vero beach...just a block away from the ocean. Very walkable and very close to restaurants and shops. Room itself was clean and quite large..a suite really. Pool was very nice and surrounding plants, flowers and trees really made it a quaint oasis. Would definitely stay here again.
