Clean and quiet. A little far from downtown, but right on a bus line, so pretty convenient. Very friendly and helpful staff. Some great restaurants (and gelato!) right around the corner. We would stay here again.

It’s OK.

The hotel is so-so. It’s outdated and you can hear everything through the doors. The bed was not the most comfortable, but it was clean.

Great place -- would stay again

Nice place to stay. Not downtown but within 3-5 minutes of the pedestrian gate for the US Army. The #1 bus that goes downtown and to the train station is right across the street. Would stay again. The Wi-Fi wasn't super user friendly. Had to keep putting in a password but once on it worked well.

Decent hotel if you need somewhere easy to stay. They allow pets, which is nice if you are traveling with your furry companions but can be a little noisy for other guests.

Great Place to Stay if Visiting Vicenza

This hotel is used to taking care of Americans who move to Vicenza with the U.S. Army, so we were well taken care of as Americans traveling from another U.S. base in Italy. The staff spoke excellent English, rooms were in fantastic condition, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and no cost parking was available (!!!).

Typical European hotel close to Caserma Ederle

All in all, this is a nice hotel. The staff are very nice and accommodating, and are more than willing to help out with directions and information about the bus and train schedules. The rooms are typical for Europe--a little on the small side, but very clean. There's an elevator which some hotels don't have. And the wifi is free and has a very strong signal. Breakfast is unusual in that, in addition to the typical fare of sliced cheese, meat, yogurt, and bread, there are delicious scrambled eggs and potatoes. That was a nice surprise. Also, if you have business on Caserma Ederle, it's a very easy walk there from the hotel. Even the "old city" part of Vicenza is just a pleasant less than 2 mile walk away, or you can catch the bus that stops just across the street from the hotel. I would stay at the Hotel Mary again if traveling back to the area.

Great for business travellers

Hotel Mary is certainly not a luxury hotel, however it made a good match for business travellers. I came to the hotel to attend a trade show and I was not expecting much service. The hotel is conveniently located in front of a pizzeria and an italian restaurant called Il Fauno which is quite good. There is a small organic supermarket in front of the hotel too, for those who want to eat in the room (there are small fridges) Access to the shows can be done by bus or taxi (taxi ride average 20 euros). The staff of the hotel is very friendly and they speak several language amongst them. English is not a problem. The breakfast is quite good, with coffee, breads, fruits, and cheese. Also danish pastries. The staff was helpful with directions. And there are vending machines. If you want to do laundry there is a shop behind the hotel that does this service. Generally speaking, for the business traveller Hotel Mary does its job. Do not expect luxury but good value (clean towels and sheets) for your stay.
