"This was a absolutely fantastic hotel for our family vacation. Starting with the beautiful and cool lobby with pleasant extremely helpful staff, to the spacious immaculate room with very comfortable beds, to the gorgeous saltwater pool...I would give ten stars if I could. Everything was just perfect. The staff went above and beyond with hospitality and keeping everything so neat and clean. We arrived early and though our room wasn't available yet, we immediately were provided access to showers and refreshments. This was much appreciated after 24 hours of travel. I used the fitness center everyday and it was a nice amenity to have available. The location was excellent for our family as we took the river ferry almost everyday and could easily walk to many different locations and took a Grab car to places a little farther. Highly recommend!!"
"Used to be my absolute favourite hotel in Thailand. Sadly this time there were a few families with small children who spoiled my experience. The pool area is beautiful but small and there are maybe only 12 sun beds to sit near the pool. They were all full very quickly with big family groups and the experience by the pool was not relaxing. I think if this amazing hotel wants to stay popular then I would make it adults only. It’s unfortunately too small and boutique to accommodate noisy small children running around. "
"The hotel itself is amazing - perfect place. The staff can not do enough for you, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble.
The pool area is great.
Breakfast is perfect and has everything you could need.
The shuttle boat to icon or the pier is great.
My only downside is the location although on the river and it’s the best hotel we have stayed in Bangkok all the times we have been I just felt the location was too far out of the main areas but nothing a grab or bolt didn’t solve. "
"Part of the Anantara riverside resort. While it is a little further out of the main central areas, the shuttle boat runs regularly to connect to the train lines at Saphan Taxin.
Lovely modern hotel.
Breakfast however was very crowded in quite a small room given the size of the hotel.
The rooftop pool is lovely but again small and busy - not enough space for the number of guests.
Staff great - very helpful and polite.
Great stay overall for a few days but if I am coming back to Bangkok I would stay again at a hotel with more amenities and outside space. This feels like a modern, trendy city hotel with good decor, good bars and beautiful views across the river (which is not a criticism, these are all positives). "
You can enjoy retail therapy at Don Wai Market during your visit to Sam Phran. Stroll along the riverfront or visit the temples in this culturally rich area.
