Rest Camp Lodge
The accommodation is basic i.e. no floorcoverings, walls of the lodge are block-built and simply painted on the inside, floors are painted concrete. But everything works. The ceiling fan is v effective, plenty hot water, comfortable beds, clean, v good service, mozzy nets v good. A good base for a holiday around Vic Falls. One hidden bonus is the local wildlife. There is a family of up to 60 Mongooses living on or near the site, and Warthogs are here also. These are around every day - wild animals and Mongooses are vicious little predators, but they seem to live happily alongside us humans. I've stayed here before in 2018 and it doesn't disappoint - provided you know the limitations. On that basis I'm happy to recommend.

Needs Some Basic Improvements
The staff were very good making the best of the place as it is. The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean. Unfortunately the place needs a serious update. Everything is very basic. The lodges were like old army barrack buildings Cement floors and old style doors. The Wi-fi is very poor, and can only be used in the restaurant across the campsite or the reception area. It kept dropping out. The mains electric is only on a few hours a day. I would not recommend staying here due to the lack of rudiment 2020 facilities you expect even in the most remote places .

I had an entire house to myself: 2 BR with ceiling vans, kitchen, dining area, bath. Comfortable bed, hot shower. Lots of ants around, but they stayed away from me and my luggage. Very friendly staff throughout. They offer laundry service for $5 per bag. I D/O before 8 am and they delivered to another lodge (where I started my group tour) in the evening. I had to pay $10 cash deposit for the key at C/I, but wasn't given back when I checked out (I did not think of it either). I went back the next morning to claim my $10. Overall, good value for the price. Simple, but good. I had dinner at the restaurant, which I enjoyed. Thank you.

Superb staff, great central location with plenty of open area within the premises, quiet and peaceful. Should have stayed longer than just 1 night here.

Vic Falls Rest Camp 2 night stay
great location within the town. Easy access to all local attractions. Small restaurant on site, with reasonably priced menu. We had a room with private bathroom which was spacious but dated. Our room had a kitchen, but we were unable to use it as we only had power for a couple of hours in the night. Wi-fi is only available in reception and the bar and is incredibly slow. The pool was of a nice size, but unfortunately there was a school trip taking place for a week whilst we were there and the students had taken over the pool, so it wasn’t comfortable to use.
