"The Hotel is located in the heart of Natchez across the road from the Mighty Mississippi. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast served daily, bring cash for tips! They work hard behind the counter. Be sure to visit under the hill."

"When we got into our room, we found that the air conditioning unit was leaking and the carpet around it was soaking wet and soggy. After notifying the front desk, we were moved to another room. While the second room was better, the beds were extremely firm and there was visible black mold on the bathroom ceiling. We stayed in that room despite those conditions because we had already been inconvenienced by having to move rooms.
When we checked out, we informed the front desk staff again about the leaking air conditioning unit in the first room. She told us that, because of the leak, the room was not supposed to have been occupied at all. She also mentioned in passing that she would be glad when the remodel began so they would not have “these problems” anymore, which honestly made me wonder what other issues guests are dealing with that we did not see.
I do not like leaving negative reviews, but this stay genuinely deserved one. No guest should be placed in a room that staff already knows should be out of service, and visible mold in a replacement room is completely unacceptable."
"There were no towels in the room. Called to ask or some and was told I would have to come to the office to get them since the cleaning crew had gone home for the day. Shower curtain was stained and needed to be replaced. Looked like someone covered with grease had showered and gotten grease soap spattered on it. I requested a king room at booking ended up with 2 queen beds. bed was very comfortable and it made for a good night's sleep. Overall, it wasn't bad and I would stay there again."
"I always enjoy my stay at the Clarion. Only suggesting that the housekeeper not knock on the door at 9am she did it twice. At least give us a chance to wake up. Next time I will utilize the do not disturb sign."
"My cousin and I stayed at the Guest House Mansion on our first trip to Natchez to tour the beautiful antebellum homes and enjoy a bed-and-breakfast experience. The location was fantastic—within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars, and historic sites. We especially enjoyed the porch with its rocking chairs and cast-iron tables, where we could relax and enjoy the free entertainment of locals cruising by with music loud enough to hear, feel, and occasionally synchronize your heartbeat to.
The mansion has beautiful period furnishings, and the manager was friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the room seemed to be preserving more history than intended. A musty smell greeted us at the door, the carpet felt gritty and damp underfoot, and even the armoire had its own unique aroma. For perhaps the first time in my life, I was thankful I packed house shoes. Replacing the carpet with tile and area rugs would likely do wonders.
Breakfast was included, which was fortunate because my vacation budget and restaurant prices were having a disagreement. Unfortunately, most of the buffet had also decided to cool off before we arrived. Thank goodness for the scrambled eggs and grits. Overall, the property has charm, character, and a great location. With some deep cleaning, maintenance, and a buffet that stays acquainted with heat, it could be a truly wonderful stay."
"The Monmouth Inn is always a treat to stop at when we’re coming too and from the beach. The staff is always very kind and hospitable, the breakfast is outstanding along with the breakfast staff, the grounds are quite remarkable to walk through accompanied by the many kind cats of Monmouth, all of the rooms are so unique and beautiful to stay in, and the front desk staff are always so welcoming and inviting. For each stay, we’ve gotten a different room and it’s always so exciting to see where on the grounds we end up. Each room has its own story. It’s like a storybook comes to life. If you’re looking to add a unique and memorable experience to your trip, this is the place to be!"
"Wonderful experience! Like going back in time to a slower pace. Clean comfortable and beautiful. Spent the morning on the 2nd floor balcony listening to birds and drinking coffee. 😍 Lovely."
