"This property was great for our visit of San Diego. I traveled with my elderly parents, with my father mostly using a cane. We got a suite which had a partial wall separating the two queen beds (super cool feature and still very reasonably priced. I would totally do that room again as well). It also had a small kitchenette which was helpful for reheating food, especially with my father sometimes hanging back when we went on to dinner. This hotel was clean, the staff worked so hard and was friendly, and the breakfasts were very good. Parking was easy. The location was close to everything we did, including the airport. (I think in 4 days we only used a half a tank of gas and we went to many places.) Laundry room was okay and could've been cleaner. One washer washed with hot water instead of cold water. I would definitely use this hotel again the next time I stayed in San Diego."

"Definitely skimped on towels. Bed is very dirty underneath covers. Random people outside at all hours. Literally a hooker site. Will walk around in practically nothing outside of hotel entrance, whistle at men, wave at you. It’s just gross. Good area, but could definitely be in better condition. Cops rolled around parking lot about 1x per hour everyday! Probably looking for hookers. Literally don’t stay here dude. They are all over the Jack in the box across the street which is also homeless central 😩."

"The Uptown Inn by Vantaggio is a clean, attractive very pleasant hotel that offers very clean, comfortable, attractive rooms at fair, moderate prices. I've stayed there twice. Each time was a great experience! It is in the middle of and walking distance to restaurants, cafes, and galleries in San Diego's Hillcrest area and very easy bus connections to Balboa Park and Little Italy. I'd stay at the Uptown Inn again!"
